Castle
Goldrain.
Castle Goldrain was in the past a romantic fortress
and was rebuilt by the earl Hendl in the 16th century.
The castle consists of a lot of marble sculptures
and has gothic, renaissance and baroque elements.
The castle seems not to be a fortress but a pitoresque
and aristocratic dwelling house. This impression intensify
the arcades with their italian columns, an example
of marvellous classic renaissance art. Today there
are in the castle cultural and musical arrangements
and educational activities.
