The holiday region Kastelbell - Tschars on 600 m is situated in the lower part of Vinschgau, 20 km distant from Meran. There are the hamlets Marein, Latschinig, Freiberg, Tomberg, Trumsberg and Juval (Castle Juval).

It´s an exciting landscape full of contrasts: the woods on the north side and the sunny south side with its singular fauna and flora, from fruit gardens in the valley to the high peaks and mountain lakes. The restaurants offer italian and tyrolean meals. Here grow apples, wine, apricots, chestnuts and aspargus.
Kastelbell - Tschars is a starting point for walking tours and sporting activities. There is old and new together.
