Valli
Giudicarie e Terme di ComanoLardaro.
The Path of Peace passes through this area and there
are several Austro-Hungarian forts to be visited.
The village has a number of holiday apartments as
well as restaurants and cafés.
The parish church to the west of the line of hills
along the valley is dedicated to the Beheading of
Saint Michael the Archangel. It has a graceful Baroque
portal with a bell tower at the side in a style typical
of the Valle del Chiese which recalls that of the
nearby province of Brescia. Bell-ringing is also the
same as in Lombardy; here the bells do not ring the
tocsin as is the custom in the other valleys in Trentino.
Built in the Middle Ages and consecrated in 1530,
the church today is the result of reconstruction work
supervised by master builders from Como between 1739
and 1742. The old 19th century organ by G. Alghisio
from Ponte Lezza di Como (1850) was destroyed during
a bombing raid by the Italians during the First World
War and replaced with one by Mascioni. Around the
church is the square surrounded by old houses.
The village also has a Tourist Office, a court for
paddle, a play area and the Consorzio Turistico.
