It covers the upper part of the Pieve di Bleggio.
On the plain of the hill stands the monument to the
Cross, considered as possessing miracle producing
powers and preserved inside the nearby parish church
dedicated to SS. Dionisio, Rustico and Eleuterio.
This church was first mentioned in 1153 while the
present building dates back to the 16th century and
represents one of the few examples of religious buildings
in Renaissance style in Trentino. Inside the church
it is possible to descend the steps and visit the
Romanesque crypt (guided tours in summer - for further
information contact the Tourist Office tel. 0465 702626).
The municipal seat is in Santa Croce. Hamlets: Balbido,
Bivedo, Cavaione, Cavrasto, Cornelle, Gallio, Larido,
Madice, Marazzone, Marcè, Rango, Santa Croce.
The rural appearance of this village is enriched
by the many murals recently painted on the external
walls of the houses by different artists and representing
daily life scenes linked to the history and traditions
of the village. Rango (799 m) is the highest inhabited
center of Bleggio and represents a picturesque example
of rural architecture thanks to its unique buildings
joined in a compact urban design enriched with lobbies,
courtyards and fountains. The Durone Pass stands at
1,000 meters and it is the starting point for many
tours, with a fitness trail and a large picnic area
