The Municipality of Pejo includes also the villages
of Cogolo, Celledizzo, Cellentino and Comasine. In
the past iron used to be extracted from the surrounding
mountains and today the water of Pejo is healthy and
in demand containing the typical ferroginous properties
of the terrain. Pejo is the starting point for tours
on the Ortles-Cevedale Range.
The artistic beauties of this village are: the wooden
altars of Pejo, the frescoes in the old church of
Cogolo, Palace Migazzi, the small churches of Cellentino
and Comasine, the precious cases.
It is a winter and summer tourist area situated in
the Stelvio Nature Park which has an extraordinary
