Several paths lead you to the varied view points in
the mountains. Vallarsa is mainly known for Mount
Pasubio "a monument" to historical events
which affected many generations of this century. This
mountain still preserves the scenario of the Great
War, rocks destroyed by explosions, the network of
tunnels, the crosses and barbed-wire fences and the
trenches. In contrast to this war landscape, today
this area has become the destination for peace pilgrimages,
walking along the famous "Path of Peace"
climbing up the Piccole Dolomiti of Vallarsa and the
pastures of Pasubio, along the Road of Tunnels up
to the top of the Mount Pasubio, to the Italian and
Austro-Hungarian Peaks, the hollow of the Lancia Refuge
crossing the European path E 5.
The hikers or mountain-bikers may choose among many
paths according to their taste and ability in order
to reach the many huts, refuges and places with panoramic
view scattered all over the mountain.
There are many opportunities to practice outdoor sports:
sports angling in the small lake of Piano, fitness
trails, the big sports center in Piazze (with a circus
tent for events and shows) and, in winter, cross-country
skiing and ski touring.
