This area is situated on the Brentonico plateau on the eastern side of Mount Baldo. It is a ski area and together with Polsa it has 15 ski lifts and 40 km of down-hill slopes partially equipped with snow-making facilities.
Along the road leading to the pass it is still possible to see some rock ramparts which were utilized during the First World War as hospital and observation posts.
The sporting and accommodation facilities guarantee a perfect holiday in the best traditions of Trentino.
The San Valentino Pass is the ideal starting point for tours: along the "senter dele vipere" (path of the vipers) you can reach the Refuge Fos-Ce run by the local SAT (Alpine Rescue Squad). From here it is also possible to get to the Nature Park Bes-Cornapiana, created in 1972 by provincial statute.
It consists of 150 hectares symbolizing the natural protection of the whole Mount Baldo. The varied flora that can be admired in this park is quite unique and cannot be easily found in other areas of the Alps. This is the destination of not only many scholars interested in the grass species but also enthusiastic amateurs.
