Piné
e CembraBedollo.
The main economic activities of the Commune of Bedollo
are tourism (5 hotels, 2 camp-sites, apartments) and
minor agriculture: typical mountain products with
many large plantations of strawberries, raspberries,
bilberries and blackberries. Moreover the availability
of woodland produce, including particularly interesting
wild mushrooms, is important. Many events and village
festivities are organised in the various villages.
The area offers plenty of opportunities for a variety
of outings. The Piazze lake is about 1200 m long and
on average 300 m wide and safe for bathing. Near Brusago
there is the Buse lake. The church of S. Osvaldo in
Bedollo is of great cultural and artistic interest.
It stands majestically and solitary on a terraced
slope supported by high stone walls. Next to it is
the 1775 bell tower with a large onion-shaped roof.
The valuable organ inside the church was built by
Filippo Tornagi (1874). Summer sports that can be
practised are: tennis, fishing, sailing, windsurfing,
bowling, excursions on foot or mountain bike, football.
