Cavedago is a place littered with farmsteads whose origins probably date back to the medieval colonization. It is made up of cottages with shingled and zinc roofs situated on the slopes and green terraces at the base of the valley crossed by the Lavesol, the Rio Briz and other minor waterways. In times gone by it was renowned for its production of charcoal from wood. Chimney sweepers were the traditional emigrants. In Cavedago it is possible to practice all kinds of summer and winter sports thanks to the excellent facilities on the Altopiano di Andalo, Molveno and Fai della Paganella close by. In addition there are routes for walks and mountain bike excursions in adjacent meadows and forests as well as the facilities which Cavedago itself offers: a sports ground, tennis and cross-country skiing.
