Telve di Sopra has been populated since ancient times and the Roman Road of the Valsugana passed through here. In 1957, while working near the vicarage, remains of solid walls came to light together with five skeletons equipped with armour and weapons. The village was destroyed during the First World War, except for three houses and a church. There are also many vineyards in this region.
