This town lies on a slope with picturesque streets, a never-ending number of granite fountains and solid houses following the rustic and noble tradition. It was the seat of the old community (known as the "casa della comunità" in the second half of the 13th century), the feudal families and those privileged with wealth. The large and rectangular main square, in front of the church, is lined with noble residences of the 16th and 18th centuries. It is an area with orchards and vineyards and is scattered with mountain huts.
