This village is situated on the southern sides of
the woody Mount Silana which protects it from the
northern winds. Pieve Tesino is overlooked by the
red rocks of Palco in front of the hill of La Presa.
At its foot the green Tesino hollow expands with its
interesting morainic hills. In the distance the rocks
of Mount Còppolo.
Its name derives from the fact that it is the seat
of the parish church of the valley and is set like
a fan on the small terraces of Mount Silana under
the rocks of St. Maria.
In the surroundings you can enjoy walks and tours
in a beautiful environment. To the North stands the
granite massif of Cima D´Asta which is the destination
for many alpinists and amateur mountaineers. This
area is quite famous because it is the home land of
Alcide Degasperi.
