Ivano is situated at the foot of the eponymous castle
on a wide green plain. You can visit the 19th-century
church of the Madonna di Caravaggio. The Ivano Castle
is a massive quadrangular building with small round
and pointed windows and stands at the top of a rocky
hill (482 m) which can be seen from the whole valley.
On the southern wall of the tower you can see the
traces of the big coat of arms of the Scaligeri Family
from Verona and on a different level the one of the
De Carrara Family from Padua. The castle is protected
by a long wall equipped with small crescent-shaped/lunated
ramparts.
The neo-Gothic parish church of St. Giuseppe Operaio
stands isolated on a hill near the Town Hall between
the two villages of Ivano and Fracena. From the churchyard
you can enjoy an incredible view of the Ivano Castle
and of the mountains of Valsugana.
The castle can be visited in summer.
