Woman's Museum 'Evelyn Ortner'.
Europe's most complete collection of women's clothes
and accessories from 1820 to 1990 may be admired in
the heart of Meran (Merano). Named after its founder,
Evelyn Ortner (1944-1997), the Woman's Museum traces
200 years of the history of the images, ideals, and
roles of woman. Whether it is the history of the ideal
of beauty or the history of private life, told through
the use of individual kinds of professions and biographies
of women, it is hard to tear yourself away from these
images of women.
