PalermoBolognetta.
The Genoese merchant Marco Mancino bought the fief
of Bolognetta from Vincenzo Bologna (whence the
name). The village developed in the early 17th c.
when it was a restingstation on the royal highway.
Until 1882 it was known as Ogliastro.
The Chiesa Madre, Madonna del Carmelo, dates from
the 17th c., with some alterations in the 18th.
