This little town is of mediaeval, and possibly Arabic,
origin.
The Chiesa Madre, Santissima Annunziata, in Piazza
Matrice, is probably a Norman structure, modified
in the 17th c. It is longitudinal in plan, with
a nave and two aisles. It contains some 16th c.
statues and 17th c. paintings, and a Virgin and
Child in an interesting Byzantine-style fresco.
