EnnaValguarnera Caropepe.
In the Rossomanno Hills (q.v.), between Valguarnera
Caropepe and Aidone, some indigenous settlements,
later Hellenized, have been discovered, dating from
the 14th-12th c. BC. The modern town was founded
in 1628 by Francesco Valguarnera on the site of
a pre-existing hamlet which itself was founded in
the 14th c. under the lordship of Lamberto Caropepe.
The new Chiesa Madre is dedicated to San Cristoforo.
