CataniaAci Bonaccorsi.
A feudal centre (1169) that developed among the
estates of various noble families, including the
Bonaccorsi family, whence the name of the town,
and the Princes of Campofiorito, the Diana family
from Genoa.
The little Chiesa della Consolazione (12th c.)
has the original apse and contains some 18th c.
frescoes. The first part of the name of the town,
Aci, found also in other towns in the area, celebrates
the local myth of Acis and Galatea.
