Valli Trebbia e Antola.
From the Monte Antola massif, where the view ranges
from the Ligurian sea to the North-Western Alps
along most of the province of Genoa, the view is
exceptional.
On the slopes of the mountain'heart of the Antola
regional park - a dense network of trails offers
options for excursions on foot, mountain bikes,
or horseback. The area's particular configuration
makes possible a wide variety of sports, even extreme
sports: parasailing, hot-air balloon trips, river-running
in canoes and kayaks down the waterways of the Trebbia
valley, climbing, mountaineering, and outings on
cross-country skis or snow shoes.
One of the area's great attractions are the abundant
spring flowers that blanket the mountain sides with
orchids, narcissus, buttercups, and lilies, as well
as butcher's broom and daphne. The circling path
around Brugneto lake is a favorite, where it's common
to come across fallow deer that meet here during
the autumn mating season. Other popular attractions
include a visit to Montebruno, which hosts the large
sanctuary and an important museum of rural civilization.
