Fish specialities.
The regional maritime gastronomy is very simple
and reaches its best in the preparing of the brodetto
(fish soup), various kinds of fish cooked in an
earthenware dish, either the dish from Giulianova,
or the one from Vasto.
The Scapece is a characteristic dish of Vasto,
a fish speciality, no bones and preserved in vinegar,
wjth plenty of saffron which gives it the yellow
colour.
